Collaboration of Insan Bumi Mandiri, MTXL, and Pesantren Al-Ummah Present Access Clean Water in NTT

Mbay, East Nusa Tenggara – Insan Bumi Mandiri together with the Taklim XL Axiata Council (MTXL) inaugurated the clean water and water facilities ready to drink at the Al-Urmah Al-Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School, MBay 1 Village, Aesesa District, Nagekeo Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

This facility is the result of the waqf of the leadership and employees of PT XL Axiata Tbk which is channeled through the Taklim XL Axiata Council and implemented by Insan Bumi Mandiri. The development program lasted for six weeks, starting on January 7, 2025 and was completed in early February 2025.

Development includes a water tower installation, a tank with a capacity of 5,200 liters, a reverse osmosis (RO) filtration system to produce ready -to -drink water, to a warehouse for mineral water production. This facility provides access to clean water and is suitable for consumption for 79 students of Al-Urmah Al-Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School as well as more than 500 Nurul Islam Mosque worshipers in the middle of the pesantren complex.

Before this program was implemented, the students had to cook water using firewood to get drinking water. The source of water from PAM only flows for a few days a week and often does not come out at all. Now, with the presence of this new facility, daily water needs for drinking, ablution, and sanitation can be met properly and sustainably.

The Chairman of the Al-Urmah Al-Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School, Ustadz Saiful Ismail Rena, expressed his gratitude and gratitude for the presence of this assistance. “We are very grateful for the assistance provided. The presence of clean water is a gift for the students and the surrounding community. The benefits we feel can be up to the future generations. We are very grateful, hopefully this will be a charity for donors.”

Zulfa Faizah Musyahidah, Director of Insan Bumi Mandiri, said that this is all a form of mutual cooperation. “This development is a form of mutual cooperation from many parties.
